After toiling away in service and hospitality industry jobs for the majority of my 20’s, I was finally rewarded with a much-needed career shift with the ability to work from home. Hooray, less commuting and more time for leisure, I giddily imagined.
Little did I know that after a couple of months of sitting at my desk all day, every day, I would be feeling stiff, sluggish, and downright miserable.
The sedentary life had wreaked havoc on my waistline, my lower back, and my energy levels.

I needed to get moving. And since I was so busy that I was always making excuses around making time to work out, I needed an excuse-busting tool. Something that made it so easy to exercise while working, I couldn’t say no.
Enter the UREVO Under Desk Treadmill. This beauty has been a godsend to me. But it wasn’t easy to pick out amongst the gazillion desk treadmill models available online.
Was the unit weight-bearing? How fast did it go? How much did the treadmill weigh? How long was the tread area itself? And the list went on.
There wasn’t a handy UREVO treadmill review to help me make my decision, so I figured I would put one together for you.
This way, you can make sure you feel as good about your purchase as I do.
Deciding to Buy the UREVO Treadmill
I didn’t want to become someone who drove to the gym to use the treadmill instead of just taking a walk. And I also wanted a solution that didn’t compromise work hours no matter when I wanted to get moving. So I decided to give one of the new fancy under-desk treadmills a try.

I was looking for a treadmill that could support at least 250lbs, was quiet enough to allow for focused work, could easily be moved from room to room and under different tables, and with a longer space as I’m 5’9. The URVEO definitely met all of these criteria!
Here’s a summary of some of the specs that the manufacturer includes on the listing:
- Larger Running Area for Safer and Freer Running: 16.5×47.2 inch belt with up to 265 lbs weight capacity
- Sensitive Speed Range: The machine’s speed starts at 0.5 mph and increases to 4 mph in half-mile increments.
- Shock Absorption and Noise Reduction Design: 2.25HP motor runs without exceeding 45 dB of sound with 8 shock absorbers to minimize joint impact
- Compact and Space-saving Design: 4.2 inches thick, 55 lbs, takes up no more than 8.5 sq. ft, and weighs 55 pounds
- Scientifically-enhanced data collection system: The features include an LED display, Bluetooth remote control, and memory functions to ensure you’re able to monitor your progress
- Customer Orientation: Energy-saving & environment-friendly, UREVO’s 100% customer satisfaction policy
I liked all of these features, especially the belt length. There are some general guidelines when it comes to the length a treadmill needs to be for running and walking, ensuring you have a full stride. 48 to 54 inches tends to be the sweet spot for conventional full-sized treadmills.
The average under-desk treadmill is only 47″ long, not even making the cut for the minimum length required for walking.
Since I’m a taller gal, 5’9 with some poofy hair days totaling my height to 5’10 on occasion, I was convinced I would nose-dive into the ground of most under-desk treadmills. But the UREVO’s belt length was reassuringly longer. With a belt measuring 58.5″ long, UREVO provided me with that extra wiggle room I was looking for.
Despite a price tag that was a bit steeper than some of its competitors, I decided to go with the UREVO treadmill since it seemed to have a few features that others didn’t.
Setting Up My Under-Desk Treadmill
Let’s dive deep into the intricacies of the UREVO desk setup:
- Take it out of the box
- Plug it in
- Walk.
Yep…that’s about all I have for you. It was ridiculously easy to get started. The treadmill comes fully assembled with and is easy to move around because it has two small wheels to roll the product on rather than dragging it across the floor.

There aren’t many bells and whistles that come in the packaging. You’ll get a manufacturing guide and a small Allen-wrench-style key that allows you to adjust the belt itself from left or right.
It’s nice to be able to adjust this part, but I haven’t needed to use the tool in the 3 months that I’ve had the machine.
That evening, I enjoyed walking and jogging on the treadmill in the living room while watching Netflix. At the end of the night, I simply rolled it over into another room so it was ready for use “at the office” the following day.
Here is my super high-tech standing desk office setup:

Perhaps using a few cardboard boxes and a kettlebell as a standing desk isn’t the most elegant solution, but I found it to be super functional!
Making a makeshift standing desk while investing in your treadmill is a budget-friendly way to have a more active work life without it costing thousands of dollars.
My Experience: Is the UREVO Treadmill Worth It?
So what’s the verdict? Is this walking treadmill worth the investment? Or is it just another piece of office/gym equipment for me to trip over for the next 5 years before listing it on the Facebook Marketplace for resale?
Honestly, UREVO’s treadmill is probably better than any other home office or home workout equipment I’ve bought in years.
Without needing to invest in an expensive machine such as the Nordictrack, I’m able to get a good and safe workout throughout the day anywhere in my home.
Here are some of the features I loved, as well as a few areas where there’s room for improvement:
Pros
Bright LED Console That Tracks Progress

On the upper-right-hand section of the treadmill is a display console that will automatically flip from one mode to another to provide you with plenty of helpful metrics.
This display will let you know your speed in miles per hour, your overall step count, how long you’ve been using the device, and how many calories you’ve burned.
You can pause the device for up to 15 minutes and the treadmill will remember your data, which is convenient if you need to run to the bathroom or refill your water.
Overall Quiet Machine, with Slight Whirring Noise
I watched a lot of YouTube videos to get a sense of how loud other treadmills were, and I was pleasantly surprised with the noise level of the UREVO model.
The motor is extremely quiet. The machine only makes a slight whirring noise when you increase your speed, but even then it’s relatively quiet. There are not a lot of “crunching” or “buckling” sounds when I walk, which makes the treadmill feel expensive.
When I’m on calls or in meetings, I’ll mute my sound when I’m silent for long periods of time, but feel comfortable keeping the sound on when I’m talking.
The Tread Area Is Long and Wide
As mentioned above, I didn’t want to shorten my stride to fit the most compact treadmill model available. I wanted something better for a taller person who wanted to take long strides and occasionally jog. And with measurements at 58.5″D x 21.7″W x 4.2″H, this product fit the bill.
The Remote Is Great

You control it with a remote that comes with the treadmill, which has a plus button, a minus button, and a “play” button. It’s super simple to use, and you can easily increase or decrease the speed to fit your needs.
It also comes with a silicone wrist strap that lets the remote comfortably dangle off your wrist as you work. I find the securing bracelet to be extremely comfortable, but occasionally put it in my pocket instead.
Cons
There Isn’t an App
It’s hard to expect everything out of a value-priced treadmill, so this definitely isn’t a dealbreaker. But after using the treadmill for several months, I would love to control the treadmill with an app or have the ability to track my data in an app over an extended period of time.
I’m not sure if this is something UREVO plans on releasing in the near future, but for now, the console does an adequate job of tracking my progress.
It Doesn’t Go As Fast As Other Under-Desk Treadmills
A good range of speed is crucial depending on if you want to walk or jog on a certain day. This treadmill doesn’t go as fast as many others and is better suited for walking.
So if you’re more active than me, and want to sprint, you may want to go with another model. However, if you’re using this device for working on a computer, let’s be real – it’s nearly impossible to type a straight sentence while running 5 miles per hour.
If you do want to occasionally jog on the UREVO device, the top speed is a comfortable slow to medium jogging pace for me.
I’m Always Getting an Error Message on the Display

You know how the technology gods are sometimes. They throw one glitch into an otherwise wonderful device and make us all scratch our heads.
That’s what’s happening with the UREVO display here as it will occasionally show an error message and require a reboot. I simply unplug and replug the device to get it working normally again. But it’s one extra step that I wish I didn’t have to take.
So, Did the UREVO Treadmill Transform My Mind and Bod?
Now let’s get to what you all came here for the juicy benefits. Did the UREVO treadmill revolutionize my life? Yeah, I definitely saw some results.

More Alertness Working
It certainly did improve my mental and physical health. I’m now more productive at work since I can take a walk or run on the treadmill in between conference calls and emails. It’s also great for burning off some extra energy when I’m feeling pent up.
I’m also alert from being more hydrated, since walking all day makes me thirsty for more homemade vegetable and fruit juice and purified Berkey water during the day.
Weight Loss & Skin Toning
I’ve lost some weight too (30 pounds so far to be exact). I didn’t add any other additional exercise practices to my routine since I’ve started walking. However, I did significantly reduce my alcohol intake, which helped to drop off a few pounds.
I do think the UREVO treadmill has helped me stay on the right path with my overall health goals. I’ve paired it with the Angel Kiss Derma Roller to help tighten and even out my skin as the exercise keeps taking my weight down.
Improved Balance & Pain Reduction
And finally, one underrated benefit of the UREVO treadmill is its ability to improve balance. I am all out of whack from contorting into different positions when sitting and working. It’s led to a weak ankle over here and a tight hip over there. The treadmill has helped me iron out a lot of little kinks and make me feel more confident when I walk around in my daily life.
Try It Out, Y’all!
All in all, I’m very happy with my purchase and can confidently recommend the UREVO Treadmill to anyone looking for a quality under-desk treadmill. The convenience of having one at home is something I never realized would make such an impact on my life. Highly recommended!
