If you’re reading this, then you’re probably considering purchasing a derma roller. And why not? These little devices have taken the beauty world by storm in recent years, and for good reason! Dermarolling can do wonders for your skin, from reducing wrinkles to curing acne.
But with so many different rollers on the market, it can be hard to know which one is right for you. That’s where I come in. In this post, I’ll review the popular Angel Kiss derma roller line and tell you everything you need to know before making a purchase.
So read on and find out why these rollers are some of my favorites!
What Is A Derma Roller?

A derma roller is a small hand-held roller that has hundreds of tiny needles on it. The needles are used to puncture the skin and create tiny holes, or micro-channels. This process is called microneedling. The purpose of microneedling is to stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin, which can help improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, scars, and other types of skin damage.
The process of dermal treatment involves creating tiny injuries and punctures in the top layer of skin to encourage the body’s natural healing abilities.
This process helps to increase the production of collagen and elastin, which are proteins in skin cells that provide support for elasticity and fullness. This results in a more youthful appearance because the skin is tighter and has a better shape.
Benefits Of Using A Derma Roller
- It promotes the formation of collagen.
- It helps to make the skin softer, smoother, and more pliable by improving its texture.
- Can help lessen the appearance of dark spots and scars
- It may help to improve the appearance of loose skin.
- It softens fine lines and wrinkles
- It can stimulate hair and beard growth
This video really blew me away and let me know that there really is solid anecdotal proof that the derma roller works. I also love that this woman in the video is super relatable. She’s not a 20-something with perfect skin; she’s in her 40s and dealing with all the same issues we are:
Angel Kiss Derma Roller Guide
Now that we’ve caught you up on the basics of derma rolling, let’s talk about the Angel Kiss line specifically. These rollers are some of the most popular on the market and for good reason. They’re high quality, safe, and effective. Plus, they come in a range of sizes to suit your needs.
The Angel Kiss dermaroller line is made with grade A titanium needles or surgical stainless steel. This is important because it means the needles are easier to sterilize than other materials. Needles made out of stainless steel and titanium are also extremely sharp. This is important because the sharper the needles, the less trauma to your skin, and the better the results.
One more important quality to mention about the Angel Kiss line is that they use real needle insertions into their rollers. What this means is that the needles are actually inserted into the roller, rather than being glued on. This results in a stronger and more durable roller as well as better results.
First Impressions: Individual Angel Kiss Dermarollers

I have to say that I was really impressed with the Angel Kiss derma roller right out of the box. The packaging is sleek and professional, and the roller itself is very well-made. The handles feel secure and ergonomic. The actual roller was smooth and easy to use.
I was also happy to see that the needles were made of surgical steel or titanium. This is important because it means that the needles are less likely to cause irritation or infection.
The individual Angel Kiss roller packs came in three varieties: A beginner titanium roller, an advanced titanium roller, and a 0.30mm stainless steel roller. They came in both a protective clear case and sanitary wrapping, so I felt confident that they were clean enough for my face.

I started with the beginner titanium roller, which has 0.25mm needles. I figured this would be a good place to start because I have relatively sensitive skin.
Now, I think it’s important to mention that I’m not a big fan of needles. In fact, I’m pretty needle-phobic. So it was with a bit of trepidation that I first used the roller. But I have to say that it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. In fact, there was no pain at all.
The needles are very sharp, but they’re also very thin. So while they do puncture the skin slightly, it’s not really noticeable. The sensation was more like a light scratching, which was actually kind of satisfying. And the best part is that there was no bleeding whatsoever.
After I finished using the roller, I inspected my skin and was happy to see that there were no marks or irritation. My skin looked and felt exactly the same as it did before I started.
A few days later, I decided to use the 0.30mm stainless steel roller. The sensation was minimal and felt like a slight scratching. But when I used the product around more sensitive areas such as the skin near my eyes and lips, I did feel a tiny bit of discomfort.
I wouldn’t quite call it a painful feeling, but it felt prickly. An interesting thing about using the stainless steel roller is that it left a tingling feeling on my skin for about 20 to 30 minutes after use. It felt a bit refreshing, almost as if I had used a facial cleanser that contained mint.

My skin was slightly red after using the 0.30mm microneedle, but it was very subtle and certainly didn’t look like there were scratches all over my face. I felt confident to leave the home right after use.
After one week of testing these two microneedle products, I noticed that my skin looked and felt softer, smoother, and more supple. There was also a noticeable reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes.
This gave me the confidence to try the needle roller that I was the most excited (and a bit nervous) about: the advanced titanium roller with 0.50mm needles.
Now, this is where things get interesting…
I’ll admit that I was a bit apprehensive about using a 0.50mm needle on my face. But I have to say that it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. There was minimal pain and discomfort, and it felt like a slightly stronger scratching feeling than the 0.30mm stainless steel roller.

One week after using the advanced titanium roller, my skin looked great. My skin tone looked more even and my complexion appeared brighter. I have a lot of freckles, and while they didn’t completely disappear, they did seem to fade a bit.
As for the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, I saw a slight reduction and softening in my laugh line wrinkles. Since these are the deepest wrinkles on my face, I was really happy to see even a small change.
In fact, the results were so noticeable that I decided to use the advanced titanium roller once a week. And after just two more weeks of using it, I noticed a significant improvement in the appearance of my skin.
My favorite part about using the 0.5mm micro needle length is that I don’t have to use it frequently. In fact, it’s better to wait a few weeks between uses to allow the skin to heal and regenerate. So moving forward, I won’t use the product every day or every week and will switch to twice a month.
First Impressions: Angel Kiss Titanium Micro Needle Roller Kit

If you’re looking for an all-inclusive derma roller microneedling kit, the Angel Kiss Titanium Micro Needle Roller Kit is a great option. It comes with three different rollers. 1200 needles 0.30mm long, 720 needles 0.25mm long, and 300 needles 0.25 mm long. The kid also includes a sanitation container and a durable plastic storage case.
If you’re looking to micro needle long-term for lasting results, this kit is a practical and convenient purchase that has everything you need to get started. The high-quality grade A titanium roller heads will last for months as long as they’re regularly sanitized and taken care of.
I started with the shortest roller, which is 0.25mm long and contains 300 needles. What I liked about this microneedle roller is that it allowed me to safely get closer to my eye and lip areas. It’s also a shorter needly, so I wasn’t afraid about damaging this sensitive thin skin.

It was a little intense feeling, but since I could control the pressure, it wasn’t painful. I would describe the sensation as a slight scratching or tingling feeling. Once I was done, my skin looked slightly pink but not irritated.
Next, I tried the 720-needle roller at a needle depth of 0.25 mm. This covered large areas of my face and neck. Since I had been testing the other Angel Kiss skin roller for face, I didn’t find this one to be intense or painful at all. It had a great grip and rolled along smoothly with no problems.

Finally, I tried the 1200 needle roller at a depth of 0.3 mm. This larger roller is meant to use on bigger areas of the body such as the thighs, buttocks, and stomach. I have excess skin on my upper arms and decided to test the roller heads on this section.
I was surprised that I couldn’t feel the needles on this area at all! I learned that looser skin isn’t as sensitive to microneedling. This is great news for those with loose skin who are looking to improve the appearance of cellulite or stretch marks.

In the future, I hope to increase the depth to 0.5 mm on my arms and use the product twice a month. I’m hoping that in combination with my LED red light treatments and collagen supplements, I’ll start to see a significant difference in the appearance of my arms in a few months.
I really enjoyed the sanitation container because it made it super simple to soak the roller for 5 minutes after use. Once you’re done microneedling, it’s important to cleanse and disinfect the product. After it has sat in a solution of 70% isopropyl alcohol for at least five minutes, you can rinse it off with warm water and allow it to air dry.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with the Angel Kiss line of derma rollers and would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality product that delivers results. The kit is a great value and will last you for months.
How I Used the Angel Kiss Derma Roller
- First, it’s important to disinfect the roller by soaking it in a solution of 70% isopropyl alcohol for at least five minutes.
- Then, you can clean your face while waiting for the roller to dry. I like to use a gentle cleanser followed by a hydrating mist.
- You can use a numbing cream if you want. I didn’t do this, but many people report that it makes the process more comfortable.
- Once your skin is dry, it’s time to start rolling! Work on one section at a time and divide your face into quadrants.
- I started really light and went with a bit more pressure over time. I avoided the eyes and lips, staying about 1.5 inches away from them.
- I rolled about 5 to 8 times over each spot on my face and neck. First I rolled the product vertically, and then I rolled it horizontally.
- After I finished rolling, I applied a hydrating serum and moisturizer. I also like to use a jade roller or gua sha tool to help with lymphatic drainage.

Derma Roller FAQs

Have lingering questions about derma rollers? Here are some answers to commonly asked questions:
How to Maximize Angel Kiss Derma Roller Results?
To see the best results from using a derma roller, it’s helpful to use a serum or lotion with hyaluronic acid. This ingredient helps the skin to heal and repair itself more quickly.
You can also use a collagen-boosting serum to help improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin.
Finally, vitamin C serums are great additions to any skincare routine. It brightens the skin and helps to even out skin tone.
When used in combination with a quality derma roller, these ingredients can help to improve the appearance of your skin in just a few short weeks.
Which Size Derma Roller Should I Use?

0.25 mm: enlarged pores, skin tightening, inflammation
0.30 mm: enlarged pores, very fine wrinkles, uneven skin tone
0.5 mm: hyperpigmentation, fine lines, saggy skin, sun-damaged skin
1.0 mm: Shallow acne scars, moderate wrinkles, saggy skin

Do derma rollers work permanently?
No, derma rollers are not a permanent solution, because your skin is a dynamic living system that is always growing and changing. However, they can help to improve the appearance of your skin and make it look healthier. With regular use, you can see long-term results from using a derma roller.
What does a derma roller feel like?
A derma roller feels slightly scratchy to some, slightly painful for others, and some people don’t even feel anything. It all depends on your pain threshold and the length of needles you’re using. I would recommend starting with a shorter needle length (0.25 mm or 0.30 mm) if you’re new to derma rolling.
How do I sterilize my dermaroller?
The best way to sterilize your derma roller is to soak it in rubbing alcohol for at least 5 minutes. You can also use a UV light sanitizer, but make sure to read the instructions carefully before using it. Sterilizing your dermaroller is extremely important because it helps to prevent infection.
How long do derma roller results last?
Derma roller results typically last for about four to six weeks after a single use. However, this can vary depending on your age, skin type, and the length of needles you’re using. If you want to see long-term results, you need to use a derma roller regularly.
How Frequently Should I Dermaroll?
This too depends on the length of needles you will be using. Here are the absolute maximum amount of times you can use a derma roller within a given time frame. Use your best judgment here, and make sure your skin is completely recovered before doing another session for best results:
- 0.25 mm: every other day.
- 0.5 mm: 1 to 3 times weekly (start with less).
- 1.0 mm: every 10 to 14 days.
- 1.5 mm: once every 3 to 4 weeks.
- 2.0 mm: every 6 weeks. I highly recommend avoiding this length for home use.
